I appreciate how you discussed the different types of experiences that the female Meiji-era factory workers had gone through, ranging from positive outlooks relating to the women's financial contributions to their family, to more negative outlooks relating to horrible factory conditions and abuse. My Medium post also discussed this, but took more of a general stance relating to how the women themselves saw their work as a positive whereas later historians and societies saw the women's work as an essential contribution to Japan's economy but also recognized the negatives that came with factory work and female oppression.
